The instrument is my scene partner.
I always seek to commune with others and indulge in emotion, whether with the tools of my body or with the body of a musical tool.
I have the ability to use any amount of tools to portray a variety of narratives. Whether through dance, voice, acting, or playing, it’s all my jam.
When I attended an arts magnet high school for musical theater, I decided to form a rock band as a method of blowing off steam. I pursued both passions alongside each other all my life, until I graduated from Circle in the Square and realized a mesh of both was possible! Since then I’ve enjoyed slapping the bass while belting punk rock as a 1980s East German rebel, plucking a heartfelt folk tune on the guitar while lulling Queen Titania to rest as her First Fairy, and more… while also indulging in my theatrical tastes sans instrument.
Above all, I value working with others who are open to criticism, share their thoughts with consideration and care, have fun, and respect both physical and emotional safety. It is my goal to create a safe and productive environment no matter what the project.
So whether it's a play, musical, film, or a living room boba tea session...
